The unbelievers are those who say: 'Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary.' But the Messiah said: 'Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.' He who associates anything with Allah, Allah has indeed forbidden Paradise to him, and his abode shall be in the Fire. The harmdoers shall have no helpers. 72 (5 The Table - Al Ma'ida ).
The Messiah, the son of Mary, was not except a Messenger, other Messengers had gone before him. His mother was in the state of sincerity, they both ate food. See how We make plain to them Our signs. Then, see how perverted they are. 75 (5 The Table - Al Ma'ida ).
The Jews say Ezra is the son of Allah, while the Christians (who follow Paul) say the Messiah is the son of Allah. Such are their assertions, by which they imitate those who disbelieved before. Allah fights them! How perverted are they! 30 (9 Repentance - Al-Tawba ).
They take their rabbis and monks as lords besides Allah, and the Messiah, son of Mary, though they were ordered to worship but one God, there is no god except He. Exalted is He above that they associate with Him! 31 (9 Repentance - Al-Tawba ).
To Moses We gave the Book and after him We sent other Messengers. We gave (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary, veritable signs, and supported him with the Spirit of Purity (Gabriel). Will you then become proud whenever any Messenger comes to you with that which does not suit your fancies, and you belied some (Prophet Jesus) and killed others! 87 (2 The Cow - Al Baqarah ).
Of these Messengers, We have preferred some above others. To some Allah spoke; and some He raised in rank. We gave (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary, clear signs and strengthened him with the Spirit of Purity (Gabriel). Had Allah willed, those who succeeded them would not have fought against one another after the clear verses came to them. But they differed among themselves; some believed, and others disbelieved. Yet had Allah willed, they would not have fought against one another. Allah does whatever He will. 253 (2 The Cow - Al Baqarah ).
Also for their disbelief and their saying about Mary a great calumny, 156 (4 Women - An Nisa' ).
and for their saying, 'We killed the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger (and Prophet) of Allah.' They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but to them, he (the crucified) had been given the look (of Prophet Jesus). Those who differ concerning him (Prophet Jesus) are surely in doubt regarding him, they have no knowledge of him, except the following of supposition, and (it is) a certainty they did not kill him. 157 (4 Women - An Nisa' ).
Through the previous verses, we see that the Quran has confirmed Jesus in the best way, especially that the presenting of the Quran to Jesus is in harmony with the system, purpose, ideals and values which God want to accomplish for himself in this existence, through all his books which precede the Quran, and through all prophets who precede Mohamed and one of them Jesus.
We see that the Quran is an extension of the Bible and Mohamed is an extension of Jesus, therefore the Muslims are the closer people to the Christians, because they are the holder of the Quran which Jesus has confirmed.
There is a frank verse in the Quran, demonstrate the sorrow of the Muslims when the Christians was defeated in front the Persians, which they was at that time worship the fire and not God, thus this verses came to bring good news to the Muslims about the victory of the Christen in the next some years, wherein the Muslims will be glad.
The Romans have been defeated (by the Persians). 2 (30 The Romans - Ar-Rum ).
in a land close by. But, in a few years after their defeat they shall become the victors. 3 (30 The Romans - Ar-Rum ).
To Allah belongs the Command before and after, and on that Day the believers will rejoice 4 (30 The Romans - Ar-Rum ).
Thus the Muslims have to believe in Jesus and all prophets and all books of God to be Muslims, by the order of God, and they do not have to differentiate between prophet and another by the order of God, and that is logical because all these prophets and books are from the one God, and that what came in the Quran in a clear form, wherein order God his messenger to say to the Muslims the following, to inform them the meaning and essence of the Islam:
Say: 'We believe in Allah and in what is sent down to us and in that which was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes, and in that which was given to (Prophets) Moses and Jesus, and the Prophets from their Lord. We do not differentiate between any of them. To Him we are submitters (Muslims). 84 ( 3 The Family of 'Imran - Aali 'Imran ).
